2006 Grawemeyer Winner Honored by CEHD

The CEHD Alumni Council hosted an afternoon tea to honor Dr. Lee S. Shulman, the 2006 recipient of the Grawemeyer Award in Education. The tea was held in April at the LeRoy Neiman Gallery in the new Muhammad Ali Center. The event was made possible with a $1,000 gift from the Class Act Federal Credit Union.
Other contributing sponsors of the event include the U of L Alumni Association, Jefferson County Teachers Association, Jefferson County Association of School Administrators, Little Deer Creek Farm Trucking and the Xi Chapter of Delta Kappa Gamma Sorority.
Dr. Shulman was selected to receive this year’s Grawemeyer award for his book The Wisdom of Practice. He is currently president of the Carnegie Foundation for the Advancement of Teaching.
