Sport Administration Doctoral Student Wins National Research Paper Award

The Sport Administration Program in the College of Education and Human Development is pleased to announce that doctoral student, Marion Hambrick, has been selected as a recipient of the Bernard Patrick Maloy Outstanding Graduate Student Research Paper for 2008, an award presented each year by the Sport and Recreation Law Association. Marion will receive a $500 award and present his research paper entitled Putting the Brakes on Corporate Sponsorship: AT&T Mobility, LLC v. NASCAR at the 2008 Annual Meeting of the Sport and Recreation Law Associate in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, February 28-March 1, 2008.

Campus Fiesta Educates Students about Finance

In March 2006, the CEHD Advising Center and Center for Economic Education hosted their first financial literacy activity for CEHD students called “Financial Fiesta.” The program included information on financial aid, scholarships, evaluating your credit score, budgeting, Oprah’s debt diet and more.
