Scott and Lingo Receive Grant from KDE

Dr. Terry Scott, professor and Chair of Special Education, and Amy Lingo, associate professor with the Department of Teaching and Learning, have received $525,000 in funding from the Kentucky Department of Education (KDE) to provide to schools, districts and cooperatives throughout the state, resources for effective academic and behavior intervention within a Response to Intervention (RTI) model. Sandhu Launches Mental Health Movement in India

After spending five months and traveling thousands of miles in India, Dr. Daya Singh Sandhu, professor and former chairman of the Educational and Counseling Psychology (ECPY) Department, recently returned to the U.S. after completing his research on cross-cultural studies of suicide ideations. In addition to the completion of the research project, he also launched a mental health movement in India. As a Fulbright-Nehru Senior Research Scholar at Guru Nanak Dev University Amritsar, India, Dr. Sandhu found that with a population of more than one billion, India has a very limited mental health facilities and professionals available to provide help to the citizens.
