Whether or not extraterrestrials exist, the very idea of their existence has impacted human society for hundreds of years. That’s one of the key points Michael Crowe, a leading scholar on the history of extraterrestrials and humanities professor at the University of Notre Dame, will make in an Oct. 17 lecture at UofL’s Gheens Science Hall and Rauch planetarium.
The free, public talk, titled “E.T. at the Rauch: Seventeen Key Developments in the Extraterrestrial Life Debate,” begins at 7 p.m. and is sponsored by the Louisville Chapter of Sigma Xi and Jefferson Community and Technical College.
